Since 2008 the surveying and average agent activities of Broeckx & Co were transferred to N.V.Beeckman De Vos

N.V. Beeckman De Vos is an Interlloyd Group Company and the Lloyd's Agent for Belgium and Luxemburg.

Organisation

In addition to the Lloyd’s Agency appointment (since 1919), N.V.Beeckman De Vos is also representing

- the AIMU - the American Institute of Marine Underwriters,
- the VHT - Verein Hanseatischer Transportversicherer

and is further named claims survey, settling and/or recovery agent for major Insurance Companies all over the globe.

Germany, France, Japan, China, Korea, Far east, Singapore and Malaysia, India, South Africa, Australia, Scandinavia and Denmark, Great Britain, Portugal and Spain, Turkey, USA and many others.

As average agent, N.V. Beeckman De Vos represents besides large organizations of insurers, brokers,shipping companies, traders and intermediaries worldwide.

Our staff of Surveyors and Claim and Recoveries Adjusters are qualified by the Lloyd’s Agency Department and have followed training and are tested on a regular basis by examinations to ensure that our company achieves and maintains high professional standards.

Lloyd's Agency

In 1811, the Committee of Lloyd’s decided that a network of Agencies should be established to protect the interests of underwriters.

Today, Lloyd’s Agencies form the world’s most extensive surveying and adjusting network. There are more than 680 Lloyd’s Agents and Sub-Agents located in 175 countries around the world. They provide 24-hour year-round services to the global insurance industry and its customers.

NV Beeckman De Vos is the Lloyd’s Agent for Antwerp and the Sub-Agent for Luxemburg, and has held appointment for Antwerp since 28th of May 1919.
Our sister company in the Netherlands, Interlloyd Averij B.V. has been Lloyd’s Agent for Rotterdam since 1st of June 1818. They also hold the appointment in Amsterdam as from the 1st of July 2007.

Next to in-house lawyers, as and when necessary, we can call upon prominent local lawyers with whom we have developed close co-operation to assist in achieving successful recovery results.
